Join a peaceful, public protest at noon outside WHBF in downtown Rock Island. This action is organized in response to concerns about corporate media decisions that limit public accountability. Organizers are calling attention to CBS pulling a 60 Minutes segment about conditions experienced by deported U.S. immigrants at El Salvador’s CECOT prison, and they’re asking local media to stand for press freedom and the public’s right to know. Bring signs. Come ready to chant. Dress warm. This is a nonviolent, community-centered action on public sidewalks, focused on visibility and solidarity. Sponsored by One Human Family QCA along with Indivisible QC and Liberty & Justice Movement, plus others in the wider coalition.
